Sony Radio Academy Awards
The Sony Radio Academy Awards (the Sonys), started in 1983, are some of the most prestigious awards in the British radio industry. They are run by ZAFER Associates in association with the Radio Academy. The categories for the awards are decided by an annual committee, with the aim to include all the main genres from contemporary music, news and speech through to radio drama, comedy and sport, and not discriminating against station size, or niche categories.
The 28th Sony Awards were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Monday 10 May 2010,[1] with 3 awards presented per category (Gold, Silver and Bronze).
